Creative Anxiety

Creative Anxiety is a multi-media "opera" which premiered at Mills College in the spring of 2013.   I use the word "opera" in quotes because it's not really an opera.   I'm not even a huge fan of operas.   Something about the singing.   But I love the form, the libretto, the staging, the weaving of all artforms.   Integrated stage / sound / vision / costume / theme.   To be honest, I inherited the idea of a television "opera" from Robert Ashley, to whom I owe an obvious and deep debt.   Ashley is the man!

"Creative Anxiety" the culmination of a year's worth of sustained work and research in opera, staging, lighting, sacred geometry, old librettos and more.
